The 2020 Highlander is on its way, and it promises to be one of the best SUVs on the market. The gasoline-powered Highlanders will be released in December of 2019 and the hybrid models will be available starting February of 2020.

As we wait for the arrival of the all-new Highlander, let’s take a look at what we can expect:

Exquisite Style

The 2020 Toyota Highlander has received a redesign for the upcoming year that will separate it from its predecessors while still offering the same reliability and charm we’ve come to love from the model. The exterior is more curvaceous, and its height and stance more stout and dominating to make an SUV that is unlike anything we’ve seen in the past few years. It strikes the perfect balance between family-friendliness and modern confidence.

Superior Tech

The upcoming Highlander is chock-full of smart tech that will revolutionize the way we explore the world. It will have access to a largest-in-segment 12.3-inch multimedia display that’s compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so you can use many of your favorite phone features through your Highlander. It’ll also be compatible with Waze and Amazon Alexa, which will put your very own personal assistant into your SUV. You’ll be able to shop online, control your smart home devices, and much more, all through your Highlander.

Ever-Capable

The 2020 Highlander will be better in every way, especially when it comes to capability and efficiency. It will come standard with a powerful V-6 engine, and you’ll have the option to upgrade to the all-new hybrid system that will allow you to achieve up to 34 mpg. This is a 17% improvement over the current generation’s hybrid model.

If you live in a place that experiences inclement weather regularly, you’ll rest easy with the great performance features the new Highlander holds. An available all-wheel-drive system with dynamic torque vectoring and driveline disconnect will give your Highlander a superior grip on the road. It’ll also come with a multi-terrain mode selector that you can use to prepare your system for the road conditions ahead.

Interior Allure

The 2020 Highlander is a three-row SUV that will seat seven or eight passengers with room to stretch out and relax. The SUV’s five trim levels — the new L, and the usual LE, XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims — let you choose the perfect amount of creature comfort you and your family want. If you want a symphony-quality sound system in your Highlander, upgrade to the JBL premium sound system.

If you need to pack luggage, gear, etc., you can take advantage of the 16.1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, or lay the seats down to get up to 73.3 cubic feet of room to pack what you need for your adventures.

When the 2020 Highlander finally hits dealerships, you can expect to test drive yours at Burien Toyota. We’re just as excited as you are to get behind the wheel of this great SUV.
