Topping Car and Driver’s 10Best list for 2024, the Grand Highland is a must-see for anyone purchasing an SUV this year. The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander showcases the brand’s reliability, innovation, and efficiency at even the basic trim level.

Windshield Wiper De-Icer

While kids may love seeing a blanket of snow covering the ground during the winter months, drivers may not be so enthusiastic due to needing to scrape ice off their car in freezing temperatures. With this feature, which is standard on the Grand Highlander, all you need to do is start the ignition and press a button. After 15 minutes, the de-icer will automatically shut off and your windshield wipers will be ready to go. No scraping needed!

Wireless Charging

Wherever you’re going, you want to make sure your smartphone is ready to go when you get there. Sliding back the console box’s lid, you will see a charging area with an easy to view indicator light and power switch. Just place your smartphone on the Qi-compatible charging pad, close the console box lid, and drive confidently knowing your device is charging out of sight.

Toyota Safety Sense

Showcasing Toyota’s commitment to safety is the Toyota Safety Sense package that comes standard on every Grand Highlander. Toyota designed these features specifically to mitigate or prevent collisions. Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Lane Tracing Assist System are features that alert and help you to correct changes in your driving. Road Sign Assist can even use the front facing camera to detect speed limit signs and alert you.

12.3-in. Touchscreen

The touchscreen on the Grand Highlander, now the primary control center for most vehicles, prioritizes features drivers use the most with a sizable screen. Home, Menu, Audio, and Map are pre-programmed quick selection buttons that are just below the screen. Wireless compatibility with some of the top audio services in the industry is standard. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 3-month trial subscription to SiriusXM are waiting for you as soon as you take a seat.

Drive Mode Select (DMS)

Toyota understands everyone has different driving styles. They show their full support of this with 4 drive modes on the Grand Highlander; Sport, Eco, Normal, and Snow. Sport mode adjusts pedal pressure, so less pressure produces more power. If you’re concerned about fuel efficiency, then switch to Eco mode. With snowy roads, you want to be careful. Enabling Snow mode lowers torque and adjusts shifting patterns to give better traction and control.
