Beautiful Burien, WA is close to major airports, has excellent restaurants, and offers visitors and residents access to some of the best nature in the Pacific Northwest. These remarkable free things to do will help you see the best of Burien without swiping your credit card once. 1. Seahurst Beach 

Seahurst Beach, at 1600 SW Seahurst Park Rd., is a lovely place to walk and enjoy Puget Sound. You’ll find a lovely fringe of Pacific Northwest forest, plenty of trails to explore, and picnic tables and pavilions right near the shore. Plus, Seahurst Beach has tons of both marine life and birds, making it the ideal spot for wildlife spotting.

2. Eagle Landing Park

Visit Eagle Landing Park at 14641 25th Ave. SW if you want to try out some of Burien’s most interesting wooded trails and possibly even spot an elusive bald eagle or two.

In addition to the trails, you can also try out the Stairway to Heaven, a well-maintained staircase that takes you up just over 100 steps and gives you amazing views of the park. There’s ample parking at Eagle Landing Park, and some trails end at a secluded and lovely Puget Sound beach.  

3. Burien Farmers Market

Burien Farmers Market, at 427 SW 152nd St., celebrates Washington’s top fruits and vegetables year-round. You’ll find plenty of artisanal treats like fresh honey, flowers, homemade kombucha, and beauty products. It’s a lovely place to go with a cup of coffee to truly experience what Burien is all about, and since it’s centrally located, you’ll be able to get there quickly and spend a few pleasant hours people-watching.

4. Town Square Park

Town Square Park, at 480 SW 152nd St., is a lovely downtown park with a massive fountain, plenty of manicured green space, plenty of benches, and gorgeous flowered trees lining the paths. Town Square Park is an excellent place to go with the kids during the summer so they can play in the fountain, and it’s near tons of fun Burien attractions, cafes, and restaurants.  

Burien is a fantastic part of the state, and you can find many cool things to do in every corner of the city. These free activities are great ways to spend a few hours, or even half the day, exploring the best of Burien.
