1. Kent Valley Miniature Golf
You can play 18 holes of miniature golf at this fun entertainment complex about a 30-minute drive from Burien, which also has an ice skating rink and batting cages. The well-kept outdoor course features a cascading waterfall, several daring jumps, and lots of challenges to keep it exciting for the whole family.
Kent Valley Miniature Golf is located at 6015 South 240th Street in Kent. Golf tickets cost $9.09 for adults or $7.95 for kids younger than 12 and adults older than 55, plus $1 for club rental. Kent Valley is open Monday through Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
2. Tukwila Family Fun Center and Bullwinkle’s Restaurant
This miniature golf course is less than 6 miles east of Burien, which is just one of the reasons why it’s our go-to for a great afternoon. You can choose from two different 18-hole courses. Arctic Adventure highlights the sights and sounds of the Pacific Northwest while Memory Lane takes a nostalgic view of putt-putt in the past.
Each costs $10 per person. Tukwila Family Fun Center is a favorite for birthday parties and team outings, which also has bumper boats, go-karts, batting cages, virtual reality rides, games, and an arcade. It’s located at 7300 Fun Center Way in Tukwila, open Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
3. Topgolf
You’ll have a unique miniature golf experience at this national chain, which has a location about 25 minutes from Burien in Renton. At this facility, you can rent a bay for your group that has weather protection, so you can play rain or shine. Instead of traditional putt-putt holes, you’ll aim your golf ball at virtual targets projected onto the field beyond.
You can also order food and drinks right to your table, so it’s definitely an elevated way to enjoy this classic pastime. Topgolf is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. with extended hours until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s located at 780 Logan Avenue North in Renton.
