The all-new Toyota Tacoma has arrived and will soon be available at your local Toyota dealer. We are excited to share the new features of the highly anticipated new design of this mid-size pickup truck. The Toyota Tacoma has been a favorite among truck enthusiasts for several decades. Coupled with Toyota’s quality, reliability, and durability, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma is ready for your next off-road adventure. Let’s delve into the new features of the new Tacoma.

It Has Fully Been Redesigned

It boasts a redesigned grille with a more contemporary and aggressive look. It is also built on the TNGA-F body-on-frame chassis, which makes it sharper and stiffer. The upper body is built on aluminum, which ensures a large cargo bed while reducing weight. Laser welds and high-strength steel are used throughout the chassis to increase rigidity.

In its fourth generation, the new Tacoma has been designed specifically for North America. The standard grade offers numerous features for off-road enthusiasts, including a fully redesigned multi-link coil rear suspension. This suspension technology significantly improves ride and handling. The Tacoma also features a new high-strength boxed, steel-ladder frame for use in any driving environment.

It Has New Safety and Technology Features

The technological features of this new truck are plentiful and impressive. It has a newly updated cabin with either an 8-inch or 14-inch multimedia touchscreen. The Multimedia system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Overall visibility is enhanced with the Panoramic View Monitor, which provides a 360-degree top-down view. The truck also integrates Toyota’s Smart Key system with push-button start.

Additionally, the all-new Tacoma has some of Toyota’s most advanced safety systems courtesy of Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This system includes features such as:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane-Departure alert
  • Pre-Collision warning with automatic emergency braking

It Has Better Performance

A turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine powers the new Tacoma. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The truck is available in both rear and four-wheel drive systems. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is also available for the Tacoma. The i-FORCE MAX is a hybrid setup featuring a small nickel-metal hybrid battery and an electric motor between the engine and transmission.

The new Tacoma comes in eight trim levels. The standard 2.4-liter engine delivers 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain delivers 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.

It Has Advanced Off-Road Capability

The new Tacoma continues its heritage as a capable off-roader. The limited grades have diverse, purpose-built suspension options, like crawl control, multi-terrain select system, locking rear differential, and Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (DSM) for any off-road challenge.
